Custodial Worker NA-02
Summary
This position is located at Fort Leavenworth FMWR Custodial Services. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies throughout the program. Management has the right to assign staff to locations as missions require.
Incentives and Bonuses: Incentives will not be paid.
Duties
- Cleans, empties trash, dusts, disinfects, and deodorizes rooms, corridors, stairways, toilet facilities and other areas.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment.
- Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc., moving furniture when necessary. Performs routine maintenance of equipment.
- Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
- Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card.
- Must meet physical requirements of the position: standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.
- Willing to accept an Intermittent or Flexible Appointment.
- Possess a valid Driver's License, or able to obtain one by entrance of duty.
- Must be able and willing to work a schedule during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.

Allowances and Differentials: This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, COLA, and differentials will not be paid.
