Summary

This position is located at Grant Hall, Directorate of Cadet Activities, U.S. Military Academy at West Point. This position is Weather Essential. Incentives will not be paid.

Duties

  • Moves supplies and material by stacking in assigned locations.
  • Recommends reordering when levels of stock become low.
  • Assists in the unloading of trucks, as required, by using hand trucks, pallets, jacks or dollies, and moves or stores supplies as necessary.
  • Safely boxes and packs material for shipment or storage.
  • Conducts inventories. Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Medical examination required. Physical effort includes prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, working in uncomfortable positions, and lifting/carrying equipment and parts weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Must possess and retain a valid state driver's license.
  • Most work performed inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted.
  • Must be able to work varying and/or rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays. Majority of hours will be between 8:00AM-3:00PM, Monday-Friday.
  • This position is dual compensation exempt; all GS and NAF employees, whether full time or part time, are eligible to apply.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less) and should clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Nine (9) months experience in warehousing activities.
  • A valid state driver's license (must be possessed and retained).

This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible.

Additional Information

  • Initial Cut-Off Date: Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 (applications must be received by 11:59 PM EST). Applications received by the Initial Cut-Off Date may be referred to the Selecting Official prior to the closing date, with subsequent referrals every two weeks thereafter.
  • Area of Consideration: US Citizens and Non-Citizens residing within a 65-mile radius of West Point, NY. Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.
  • Manual applications must be delivered to the West Point NAF CPAC (681 Rogers Place Room G-10, West Point, NY 10996), Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., no later than 3:00 p.m. on the closing date. West Point has a restricted access policy.
  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized.
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system; FWS employees earn overtime pay and may receive Sunday premium pay and night differential. Non-foreign overseas allowances, COLA, and differentials will not be paid.

  • Most individuals will be brought in at the Step 1 rate of pay ($20.15 per hour). NAF pay setting rules apply.
