Summary

This position is located at Eisenhower Hall. This position is Weather Essential.

Incentives and Bonuses: Incentives will not be paid.

Duties

• Performs routine duties of servicing banquets either by providing for set menu banquets or taking individual orders.
• Involved in setting up and breaking down banquet settings and replenishing beverages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Medical Examination is required.
• Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• This position is dual compensation exempt; all GS and NAF employees whether full time or part time are eligible to apply.
• Must meet the state/local age requirement (18 yrs) for the serving of alcoholic beverages.
• This position is eligible to receive gratuities (tips) based on the type of event(s) and performance.

A qualified candidate must possess:

• No prior training or work experience required.
• Must meet the state/local age (18 yrs) requirement for the serving of alcoholic beverages.
• Applicants must be able to follow simple oral and/or written instructions.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to follow simple oral and written instruction, an understanding of sanitary food and beverage handling techniques, and an understanding of food preparation methods.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: knowledge, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics.

Additional Information

Cut-Off Date: Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 (Applications must be received by 11:59 PM EST). Subsequent referrals to the Hiring Manager will occur every two weeks thereafter based on management's need to fill positions.

Allowances and Differentials: This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, COLA, and differentials will not be paid.
